Inspector Cumulus

Does anybody remember those cool old black and white films about Inspector Cumulus, the cloud-headed detective? What about the old Pan paperbacks written by Barrington Chendy (yes, THAT Barrington Chendy!) that you used to be able to pick up cheap in charity shops? No? Oh right, I must have just made it up then.

Man, I wish this did actually exist.

Wait... did this actually exist at all? Either way, someone should buy up the film rights soon.
Great blog, by the way.

I love this too, really like the painterly background and your lettering is always great. I've got various 50's-60's books entitled things like "Harlot's Bedlam", but when I say it's for the good covers and brilliantly bad typography no one believes me.

Does he investigate weather related crime? Perhaps he should investigate the recent flooding?
