There he is, up on his cloud, controlling all the other clouds just for us. Ah, bless.

This is how we do

Here's an example of what happens when me and Louise collaborate on a toy design. Sometimes there's a finished drawing in my sketchbook that Louise just takes and replicates to the tiniest detail (see Behemoth-On-Sea for example) or other occasions where Louise spots a scribble and goes off and does her own thing with it. The Peacock Wrangler is a bit of mixture of the two. Here's my original sketch (which I was completely unenamored with) and the finished plush (which is one of my favourite Felt Mistress pieces) after Louise has worked her magic on it. I love it when that happens.

This is one of the pieces which will "infest" the windows of Start London during London Fashion Week.

The sky tonight

The sky tonight was an amazing pinky grey colour. This in no way does it justice but I thought I'd give it a go.

Happy Creeping!

My contribution to Warwick Johnson Cadwell's ingenious "Text Message Comics" pool on Flickr. I'll allow Warwick to explain how it works - "I recently got an iPhone. Obviously it's got a ton of stuff on it and an awful lot you can get for it. My favorite thing so far is the fact that it saves a history of text messages to each contact, so you can re live old text conversations. Or better still, use the dialogue as a script for a comic." What a brilliant idea. Mine is, in fact, a text conversation I had with Warwick.
Right, where's yours?

Kkluggg - Galactic Overlord

Kkluggg (pictured) today became the Universe's youngest ever Galactic Overlord at the tender age of 235. Kkluggg is said to be "delighted" and plans to crush "like a stale Digestive" the inhabitants of Hummmmmmm Major as his first act of Intergalactic tyranny.

Black Eyes

America's Next Top Model is back and I've been doing some sketching with me brush pen while it was on. It was the
makeovers episode. That's all. Goodnight.

Scally Soundsystem

Saw this pair outside Tesco the other day trying to connect their iPod to a battery powered iPod speaker dock. I bet N Dubz never sounded so sweet!

Jebediah Siddon

Jebedian Siddon outside his first restaurant. New York City, 1933. His signature dishes included Braised Elk, Fish leg in onion gravy and Turkey Twizzlers (a turkey's "twizzlers' were considered inedible before 1929).

Guardian Money Cover

This was the cover to the Guardian's Money section today. This is what I spent Thursday doing. I love jobs where you get commissioned on a Thursday and it's print on the Saturday. No time for faffing around!
Here it is in the paper -

Future Commuter

This is how we'll all look in the future. By my reckoning, about the second week in March.

Ey up! Who's this beaky freak? I dunno. But what I do know is that he's got his tickets for ATP curated by Heppy & Tommy (TBA) and he can't wait!

"Hip To The Hop" Sleeve Artwork

Here's the cover (and inlay) art to a recent hip hop compilation album "Hip To The Hop". Currently available in Japan but hopefully soon to be available in the UK too. There's an animated ad to go with it where I have distinction of seeing MC Hammer dancing around my animated vibrating boom boxes! If it makes it's way onto Youtube at any point I'll be sure to link to it.

"This kid's gonna be huge.."

The words of Rudy Flenderville (pictured), esteemed showbiz agent, on discovering teen sensation Gary Trent and his performing Elk, Trinky. Needless to say, he was spectacularly wrong.

Initials SG

2010 is going to be a great year for fans of Serge Gainsbourg. Johann Sfar's Serge biopic, "Gainsbourg - Vie Heroique", is due out in France on the 20th of this month and hopefully will give Serge the acclaim that has evaded him for so long. In case you were unaware I also run another blog, Draw Serge, which is an illustrative tribute to Serge. Feel free to contribute. I also recommend visiting "Gainsbourg: Le Film, Le Blog".

Spring Heeled Jack

Just finished a series of illustrations for an article in Paranormal magazine about the English folklore character, Spring Heeled Jack. Here's the "alien" variant. Imagine him leaping across your snowy rooftops, the creepy sod!

Tweed Stratocaster

Louise spent this afternoon covering a friend's Fender Stratocaster in tweed (he wanted it less rock'n'roll, more geography teacher!
). Here's a drawing of him roadtesting it.

Sitting around

Today has been mostly spent sitting around watching the telly and eating. Here's a drawing of my friend, Drew, demonstrating the former. G'night!
