Inky Goodness 3

Here's my 3 pieces for the Inky Goodness group show at the Vaad Gallery in Birmingham's Custard Factory along with Felt Mistress's "soft sculptures" (L-R General Dombolo, Dobolanomi and Topo). We met a lot of lovely people over the weekend and saw lots of great work. Thanks to Lisa and Michelle for organising such a great show. On until September 27th.

Ich Bin Eine 1980s Mandrill

My 80s Miami Vice style Mandrill I did for "Animals Take Over Berlin" organised by the very talented Megan, Louise and Cat. Have a look at their Berlin Stampede blog for more pics of what they got up to.

MDF 3D

A couple of close-ups of the 3D (well, sorta) piece I've done for Inky Goodness in Birmingham's Vaad Gallery. The show starts on Friday night and I'll be at the gallery all day on Saturday (along with the lovely Felt Mistress) if anyone wants to pop by and say hello. I'll post some more pics once the exhibition is up.

Berlin Sketch

I'm in Berlin at the moment. Here's a drawing from my Moleskine that I did tonight in the Cafe Cinema. I'll try and post some more soon.

Alan Moore (knows the score)

Here's two pics of a work in progress. I've just drawn a series of illustrations of Alan Moore (no introduction necessary) for Paranormal magazine. I can't post the finished illos until the magazine is out but in the meantime here's the finished pencils and a half-inked version of the main pic. It's been great fun. That mark next to the nose is where I dropped my brush at about 2.30am because I yawned. Damn!

Trees, Clouds and Big Hair.

My contribution to the Culture Vulture Travelling Moleskine project. The theme was "What makes you tick?". These are three things I tend to draw A LOT. Strangely, I love trees but dislike the countryside and love clouds but hate the rain. Big hair, on the other hand, tends not have any unwelcome side effects (unless Bon Jovi makes an appearance. Shudder!).
