Varoom
A quick plug to say I'm featured in the latest issue of Varoom magazine. A doodle of mine is featured in the article "The Private Life of the Doodle" written by Desdemona McCannon about her experiences curating Doodlezine with Abigail Whitehouse. Nice to see my work in a glossy magazine in "fancy" bookshops around the world. The doodle in question was the inspiration for the work done for Inky Goodness. See it's all connected, I'm alway thinking...

Outkast - Stankonia
My version of the cover to OutKast's classic Stankonia album for the Beck's 100 Cover Project. I put my name down to do this two months ago and promplty forgot all about it AND I think I've missed the deadline now! Finally got round to translating all the sketches into a finished piece today. I love OutKast. Andre 3000 - a living cartoon character, 21st century dandy and Morrissey fan - and Big Boi - a lapdance-club-owning Kate Bush fanatic! Stankonia is like Maggot Brain, Purple Rain, There's a Riot Goin' On and Critical Beatdown all rolled into one. Lush, organic, funky, eclectic and the work of two distinct personalities. Hope that comes across in my cover.
Have a look at the Beck's Flickr pool to see great contributions from Guy McKinley, Warwick Johnson Cadwell, Rexbox and many more.

Inky Goodness 3
Here's my 3 pieces for the Inky Goodness group show at the Vaad Gallery in Birmingham's Custard Factory along with Felt Mistress's "soft sculptures" (L-R General Dombolo, Dobolanomi and Topo). We met a lot of lovely people over the weekend and saw lots of great work. Thanks to Lisa and Michelle for organising such a great show. On until September 27th.

Ich Bin Eine 1980s Mandrill
My 80s Miami Vice style Mandrill I did for "Animals Take Over Berlin" organised by the very talented Megan, Louise and Cat. Have a look at their Berlin Stampede blog for more pics of what they got up to.

MDF 3D
A couple of close-ups of the 3D (well, sorta) piece I've done for Inky Goodness in Birmingham's Vaad Gallery. The show starts on Friday night and I'll be at the gallery all day on Saturday (along with the lovely Felt Mistress) if anyone wants to pop by and say hello. I'll post some more pics once the exhibition is up.
